Make the Apple Cinnamon Swirls
- Prep the ingredients. Make sure that the puff pastry is fully thawed and ready to roll. Wash and grate one apple. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Warm the vegan butter till it is very soft.
- Make the rolls. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it reaches 10x14-inches (25x35-cm) in size. Spread the soft butter over top. Sprinkle on the cinnamon sugar mixture and then the apples. Cut into 12 even strips. Roll each up.
- Bake. Place one roll into an ungreased muffin tin. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool for 10 minutes before pouring over a simple icing, if desired.
Make the Simple Icing
- Mix. In a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and water. Drizzle over top the slightly cooled cinnamon rolls. Serve and enjoy!
