Hello there! My name is Laura Schneider and I help you to make easy and delicious vegan recipes to make life tastier and easier!

A little about me

I was born and raised in the Midwest of the US and spent a few years in graduate school living in Southern California, where I earned my MBA, and was fueled by my undying love of tacos. 

Growing up, I studied music, theater, and dance. In college, I ended up falling in love with art history. In graduate school, I earned my Masters of Business. Strangely enough, this combination of learning makes for the perfect background for being a food blogger! 

Throughout my life, food has always been my love language. I’ve always been experimenting in the kitchen, cooking, baking, and feeding my friends and family. From music jam sessions filled with chocolate cupcakes, to late-night study power hours fueled by handmade pizzas, no one ever leaves my house hungry.

Food is the ingredient that brings us together.

Why the “Friendly Vegan Kitchen”?

For a lot of people, cooking and baking can be intimidating. And then you add vegan on top of it? Forget it, just order takeout again. 

That’s what I hope to change. I want to inspire you to get creative in the kitchen and feel good about what you’re eating and feeding your friends and family. 

These recipes are made with simple ingredients, designed to be beginner friendly, adaptable so everyone can enjoy them, and dang delicious so that you go back for seconds.
