3-2-1 Balsamic Dressing – WFPB, Oil-Free
Only 3 ingredients and less than 5 minutes to make this tangy, bold, and delicious oil-free Balsamic Dressing! Vegan, Gluten free, WFPB recipe.
This is one of my hands down favorite dressings to make. It’s quick, easy to mix together, and thanks to the name, I never forget the ingredients. After you make this one or two times, I’ll bet you have it memorized, too! That’s how easy it is.
This balsamic dressing is one of my favorite things to pour over my Fuji Apple Salad and also tastes amazing over a baked potato or drizzled on top of some bread and hummus.
Basically, I love this dressing!!
Ingredients
For the full list of ingredients, plus recipe amounts, please see the card below.
- Balsamic Vinegar: A dark and rich balsamic is the key to making this dressing. I love the organic balsamic vinegar from Trader Joe’s but use your favorite.
- Dijon Mustard: This provides a little kick to the dressing, and helps to thicken it up. Some mustards have more zing to them than others, which is why I give a range for the amount in the recipe. My personal favorite brand is Sir Kensington Dijon Mustard.
- Date Syrup or Maple Syrup: To balance out all of the tangy flavors, you need a bit of sweetness. My personal favorite is date syrup, which again I get from Trader Joe’s. You can also use maple syrup which is a bit lighter in flavor.
Instructions
Make sure to check out the recipe card below for the full recipe and ingredient list.
Step One: Make the Dressing
This recipe is just about as easy as it gets. Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and whisk together. That’s it!
The name and the recipe are this: 3 tablespoons of balsamic, 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, and 1 tablespoon of date syrup.
Now, the fun part is in the customizing of how you best like your dressing. If you want it with a little more tang, try it with an extra squeeze of mustard. If it is too tangy, give it a dash more date syrup.
The best part is that you can’t really go wrong making this dressing.
How to Store
Fridge: Store leftover dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
